Project#1: Transactional Data Mart (TDM) Expansion Squad (Sept 2023 to Till Date)

(Role) Test Manager

Data that is currently provided by DEA is not at a granular enough level which result in reporting and analytics being manual intensive (rekeying/data ingest/preparation of reports) and complex, in addition, Actuarial make predictions for trends based on approximated values from the cumulative data.

Actuarial team requires to build ad-hoc reports and dashboards for business because of limited access to the actuarial data.

Large part of the process of reserving model are undertaken in excel spreadsheets and low trust due tool limitation and misses a due diligence framework on built models.

Hence there is a need to build and deliver core policy and claim data repository on Data Hub that will enable enhanced Actuarial MI capabilities. Data consistency to ensure Finance and Actuarial are using the same data sources. Strategic solution developed in line with both Architecture and Data strategies and provides more opportunities for IT system rationalization in future.

Roles and responsibilities:

Building up and leading the Testing Team to the success of project and deploying and managing resources for testing in entire account level. Managed a Team of 15 members.

Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery

Planning, deploying, and managing the testing effort for any given engagement.

Provide the Story Estimations based on acceptance Criteria/Story Description and Developing Test Strategy/test plans/ test scenario and test data creation for quality releases.

Increased regulatory focus and guidance such as APRA's CPG-235 Managing Data Risk; and progresses recommendations from the Section 95 review.

ANZ NZ needs 'assurance' that our most critical data driven reports (regulatory, financial, and key for internal decision -making) have been built and maintained to an appropriate standard. Well-built reports reduce the regulatory, reputational, and financial risks to the organization that may occur if inaccurate outputs are provided to external parties or using poor data to make any internal decisions.

Customer Insights project is one of the major projects under EDL (Enterprise Data Lake) Team. EDL team deals with various projects related to credit card. This project deals with ingesting customer complaints received through various channels like chat, workstations, voice calls, IVR, VOC, Microservices Reporting etc. to Hive with transformations as required by business needs. We interact with reporting team for requirement and provide them required data as solution. Raw data (Source Tables) are ingested to hive tables through Ab Initio.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Information Environment project is key component Global Optimization (GO) program. This project is part of effort to implement Manulife's Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) for investments. The informational environmental utilizes the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) which is big data platform that uses hadoop-on-cloud.to deliver data capabilities supporting analytic InSite across a large, broad, and diverse and date at efficient scale.

Below are the key architecture layers of the new informational environment:

Raw zone (Landing Layer): Collection area of all source data, with data written and stored in the same format and structure as received. Data in this zone requires no modeling and no further processing.

Data Injection Layer: Manages how data is ingested from source systems into Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) environment. The Ingestion framework establishes ingestion patterns as well as reusable component services.

Curation Layer: Storage area data which has been validated, standardized, transformed, and ingested for specific business purposes.

Data Access Layer: Pre-defined views and data access API that consolidates data from across the Enterprise Data Lake, for end user/system consumption.

SimCorp Data Warehouse (SCD DW): Testing of customs extensions requirements in the SimCorp Data Warehouse (i.e., validating and verifying the custom tables/columns into SCW DW schema)

Project#5: AIA-Malaysia - (Sept 2013 – Mar 2014)

(Role) Test Lead

The Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) project aims at building a reporting solution for the Multiple Businesses. Before EDW ODS layer is built and is loaded with Insurance related data from different subject areas. We have used Informatica as an ETL tool which pulls the data from various sources and dumps it into ODS. The data is pulled based on different conditions for which mappings are developed at Informatica. Here ODS layer is built on Oracle Database platform. In this project, twelve Source systems data from different database are loaded into stage tables and from Stage to ODS.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Managed a Team of three members.

Understand the testing effort by analyzing the requirements project.

Develop the test plan and test strategy for the tasks, dependencies and participants required and obtain stakeholder support for this plan.

Arrange the Hardware and software requirement for the Test Setup.

Assign task to all Testing Team members and ensure that all of them have sufficient work in the project.

Ensure content and structure of all Testing documents / artifacts is documented and maintained.

The purpose of the GDDS project is to develop and implement a flexible tool to deploy the risk analytic outcomes into Group Standard Decision tools such as SMG3 and TRIAD. To meet and support the requirement from Analytics and Decision Center of Excellence (DCOE); this proposed tool will offer maximum business control with minimal to no IT intervention. This will allow Analytics to customize at its discretion, decision data to the relevant predictive model and to realize their benefits quickly.

The Data Service Layer (DSL) provides acquisition, transformation, enrichment and distribution services for producers and consumers of HSBC transaction data. The data from the Primary Trading System (Summit, Global Calypso, Murex, TRI, PMC, APO, NFOS, Trinity, Phoenix and Sophis) is converted into Standard FpML messages after applying business rule to enable for distribution to DTCC (Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation) regulatory reporting to get acknowledgement for the data reported.

Having effective discussions in analyzing and understanding the requirements for a specific requirements and planning project calls for discussions with Business on any issues or gaps.
