Having worked within the construction and engineering Industry, coupled with my academic certifications, I have gained exposure to and established a range of technical skills, including Client Engagement, Project Management, Stakeholder Management & Health and Safety. My 20+ years of experience in construction and engineering has equipped me with excellent research and statistical skills, Engineering software applications, Design, Management as well as construction within Roads, Buildings, Civil and Water Engineering Infrastructure. Carrying out technical assessment of building roofs of Institutions and households damaged by Cyclone Idai and recommending damaged buildings for repair.
Producing technical site survey reports in form of B.o.Qs, design and methodology required for repairs.
Writing technical specifications for roof repair works and assisting UNDP’s Procurement team in creating a tender document for the roofing materials.
Responding to requests for clarifications from bidders (respond to technical questions raised by bidders).
Scheduling material and equipment purchases and deliveries according to project needs.
Developing a quality assurance mechanism and on-site construction supervision plan to ensure the masons complete the project roofing works in line with approved designs and with internationally accepted quality standards.
Performing project site visits/inspections to ensure achievement of the results in line with approved project documents.
Overseeing construction works to ensure that the roofing repairs work is finished with high quality standards within the contractual timeframe and budget.
