•Post-merger consolidation of an Avaya Telephony Systems for non-care call centers with Time Warner and Brighthouse. Stood up 20+ call centers for Telephony over a two-year period.
•Switch (PBX) consolidation of 12 Avaya Carrier Class Communication Managers from Regional/Biller to 8 Product based switches to conform to Line of Business Call routing.
•Converted 50+K employees nation-wide to new VOIP based Telephony soft phone along with new Auxiliary coding and support from a home-grown applications & support tool that brings enhancements to call center agent experience.
•Program Managed multiyear effort to consolidate two Biller of Record (ICOMS to CSG) to one, and adjusting Telephony platform to conform.

•Conducted the interviewing, hiring, mentoring, and motivating of team members. Provided concurrence on all decisions to manpower allocation and subcontractor hires. As a result, costs were streamlined and profits are maximized.
•Collaborated with Cross functional teams to execute on various phases of overall deployment efforts. Improved corporate processes by requiring business owner sign-off on timelines and deliverables. Provided executives with earned value, forecast vs actual financials, weekly status reports and summary project plans.

•Estimated, bid, negotiated, and Lead an effort to implement North America’s largest SONET ring for a government based integrator on a large scale program. Project covered 234 sites including commercial and government facilities, and 9,200 route miles nation-wide. All work was done under government guidelines for documentation, CADD delivery, and testing. This effort was the only part of the program that finished ahead of schedule. This 13 million project grossed 27% higher than the forecasted gross margin. Continued work has added and additional 15-million in residual sales over the past 4 years with equivalent profit margins for each effort.
•Implemented IP, leased line, and dark fiber networks for Cogent, MFN, Telmex, Winstar, NLR, KMC and DirecTV over the past 7-years for accumulative total of 1200 nodes and 65,000 route miles of network connectivity. Consistently brought in profit margins of 50-60% when a 40% profit was forecasted.
•Designed and built a $2,200 sq’ central office grade laboratory complete with a DC power plant and battery string distributing -48Vdc power over constructed seismic zone 4 ironwork. The lab housed classified optical transport gear that simulated a much larger network which was also built by the team.
•Designed and built a $2,200 sq’ central office grade staging area in Broomfield, Co. at Level 3 corporate headquarters complete with a DC power plant and battery string distributing -48Vdc power over constructed ironwork. The staging area provides headquarters the ability to centralize and consolidate efforts for large scale deployments. This staging area cost $250,000 to construct and has paid for itself in the first two months in production with cost savings on shipping and handling avoidance of travel and expense cost in the field.
•Relocated and built WilTel Communications facilities in the St. Louis area. This included turnkey design and implementation of the Data Centers, Central Office grade Staging Areas, and Network Operations Centers (NOCs) and premise distribution networks for LAN and WAN connectivity.

Overall operations management-WilTel Critical Connections. Gross revenue was 1.5 million dollars per annum with 18% gross profit. This subsidiary was purchased in whole in 1997 and ran for two additional years prior to a corporate refocus that eliminated the division.

Project Manager/CADD Supervisor – Critical Connections
•Generated 1.5 million dollars in revenue with over 18 percent profit margin using a three person administrative staff and 5 electricians.
•Supervision and workload allocation for 5 CADD technicians who supplied support to 90+ Network Engineers
•CADD design, project management and documentation of major projects involving fiber, Cat ‘5’ UTP and voice LAN implementations.
•Prepared Request For Proposals (RFP), cost estimates, and bid proposals for current and future business.
•Subject Matter Expert for the testing and documentation of Cat ‘5’ and fiber optic based networks.
•Designed, implemented, project managed, procured and documented a Network Operations Center in Atlanta, Georgia for Netrail Communications. Data Center was 2500sq’ and was approximately $625,000 in revenue. We supplied all consoles, Audio/Visual gear, premise distribution wiring and UPS/battery power.
•Designed, implemented, and documented the Fiber Optic Distribution network throughout a Hybrid CATV, SONET, ISP, and Long Distance Central Office for a Utility Commission in Evansville, Indiana. We provided all ironwork, and fiber distribution while working with a DMS250 installation within the same facility.
•Project management of a nation-wide WAN installation for 177 facilities within the WilTel/Nortel (WCS/NCS) division. Primary responsibilities included coordination of multiple vendors to connect LAN’s from multi-region sites for launch of a corporate-wide network.
•Relocated a Fortune 500 accounting firm’s LAN from one multi-story building to another. The project involved the complete wiring of 3 stories, and over 1600 data/voice/fiber optic locations.
•Responsible for project management, and documentation for the installation of multiple hub sites, and 1600 workstations in the 2 million square foot Chrysler St. Louis Truck Assembly Plant. The documentation package established was implemented nation-wide by Chrysler Motor Corporation as the standard for documenting new installations of data, voice, and fiber technology.
