Hamid-Reza is a mining engineer with extensive mineral processing expertise gained over 38 years in both academic and industry worldwide. He has extensive experience and knowledge in process engineering and metal extraction, process design and optimisation, plant layouts, designing and conducting tests in the laboratory on both pilot and industrial scales. Hamid-Reza also has experience in energy and material efficiency (Eco-efficiency) to be implemented in plant practices, as well as plant design towards reduction in carbon footprint and carbon capturing and sequestration (CCS), carbon capturing and utilisation

(CCSU) and carbon mineralisation.

Hamid-Reza’s experience includes prefeasibility and feasibility studies, mineral and metallurgical sampling, preparation, process testing and extraction; mass, water and energy balancing; solid and water waste treatment. He has worked on data collection, evaluation and interpretation to ensure process integrity and design technically and economically and also has a strong capability to strategies for the implementation of new technologies in a safe, secure and economically viable manner.

The recipient of several prizes, Hamid-Reza’s academic experience includes authoring ~70 papers in international professional pre-review journals and pre-review proceedings of International Conferences; acting as technical reviewer for three industry journals; and supervising Masters and PhD students.
