Previous Earlier positions as a Director of Accounting/Finance for a regional health system for more than nine years (Allen Health System, including Allen College of Nursing) from 1985-1994, during which time hospitals were transitioning from cost reimbursement to prospective payment system of reimbursement. while also serving on an advisory board to a national software company for health systems and hospitals (GTE Health Systems); staff accountant for public accounting firm; Controller for an electrical contractor, with union and non-union shops; and adjunct professor at Hamilton Business College, instructing course work in Accounting, Economics, Management and Income Tax.

All areas of accounting and finance, including general ledger, financial statements, budget and variance reports, accounts payable, revenue cycle (billing, payor contracts and collections) under both cost reimbursement and prospective payment systems, payroll, cash management and investments, negotiation of union contracts, grant writing and reporting, human resources for more than four hundred employees, Information technology and software development, oversight of MDS (Minimum Data Set) preparation and submittal, taxes (payroll, sales and use tax, and federal and state income taxes), data-mining information for management reports, and customer service.
