Intern
08/2020 - 11/2024
Throughout my life, I have been deeply involved in the church, which has always felt like a second home to me. When I moved away for school, I discovered Bayside Church, and quickly became immersed in their vibrant community. As an intern in the high school program, I collaborated closely with the high school pastor to brainstorm and develop engaging activities designed to attract new students to our services. Our goal was to create a welcoming atmosphere where young people could connect with others, and grow in their faith.
Yuba Water Agency Marysville, CA
Community Impact & Engagement Intern 05/2024 - 08/2024
During my internship with Jackie Sillman at the Yuba Water Agency, I engaged in various tasks. I reviewed grants awarded by the agency over the past 10 years and developed a curriculum on water conservation for elementary students, which I presented to over 500 students. Additionally, I visited several water districts in our county to discuss plans aimed at improving our community. We assisted with planning and funding upgrades to the sewage system, irrigation system, and pavement at Beale Air Force Base.

Volunteer Work
Yuba-Sutter Food Bank
Over the past 6 months I have spent many days helping out with the Yuba-Sutter Food Bank. My time with them consisted of hands on work and learning the process as to how it all works. I was able to go to many different food drives and hand food out and also learn the operations at the warehouse. Marysville Drakes
This summer I was able to work closely with the GM of the Marysville Drakes, Jerry Bettencourt, on figuring out ways to get the community involved in this new baseball team. We would meet weekly and talk about fun interactive ways to draw the community closer and get them excited! Charity Golf Tournaments
One of my favorite ways to give back the community and charity's is this one! I get the opportunity to hit golf balls for many different charity's at their golf tournaments which in return the players make a donation to the charity hosting the tournament.
Mountain Fair 5K
Recently I got the opportunity to work closely with Jon Messick and others in helping out with the Mountain Fair. Jon and I started the first ever Mountain fair 5K as a way to draw more people to the Mountain Fair. I planned and found sponsors/donors for the 5K. We were able to raise over $1,500 in a very short amount of time.
