Front and Back Office Coordinator Administrative Assistant
- I started at Express as an intern through College of the Sequoias. I fixed their filing system and took care of all back-office duties. Making coffee, filing, making copies, faxing documents, translating for Spanish speaking candidates, typing resumes, provide excellent customer service, and cover front office as needed. I assisted three Staffing Coordinators while keeping back office and front office clean.
- Once hired on I was the Front Office Coordinator. I directed all the incoming traffic while providing excellent customer service. Answered all incoming calls. The phone system was able to carry 6 open lines, calls on hold, and voicemail. The smooth operation of the phones was crucial because it was one way to receive job orders. Make sure all candidates fill out paperwork and bring in appropriate documents to complete their interview. Assist and keep open communication with Staffing Consultants; letting them know when the candidate is ready for interview, and escalating phone calls, typing resumes as needed, also checking references for potential candidates. While checking references, I did soft sales calls with potential clients. Assist Payroll Clerk when needed with the collecting of timecards, enter timecards into the system, call candidates and clients when timecards are missing.
- After 5 years I moved to part-time position as a Back Office Coordinator. Assist Front Office with phones and cover when needed. I assisted Staffing Consultants more effectively. Make interview appointments, make sure candidates come prepared for their interviews, assist consultants with reference checks, Drug Testing, W4 paperwork, and I-9 paperwork. Search for qualified candidates to fill job orders. We used the search engines: Indeed, Zip Recruiter, Monster, & CareerBuilder to find potential candidates. Scan, re-type, and send resumes. Check job and personal references on applications via phone and/or email.
College of the Sequoias – Intern Program 2010
Internship
- Open office duties included: making coffee, making front office presentable for clients and candidates, check fax machine, and direct walk-ins. File single sheets and folders in appropriate bins. Created an inactive filing system; pulled old files to be archived and/or stored. Covered Front Office Coordinator for breaks and lunch. Help candidates fill out applications and paperwork, instruct and conduct testing for specific jobs. Drug test candidates when needed.
Ross Dress for Less 2009-2010
Cashier/Dressing Room Attendant/Floor Sales Associate
- I helped store prepare for grand opening; arranged clothing and merchandise in appropriate places. As a cashier you must attend to customers quickly and accurately. At the end of every shift I would walk with the money collected to the back room. As a Sales Floor Associate, I would stock sales floor with clothes and merchandise that were delivered. Restock go backs. Make sure the store is presentable; pick up merchandise, clean up spills, and report damaged items. As a Dressing Room Attendant, I was responsible for helping every customer that wanted to try on clothes. Make sure all items are counted before taking back to prevent shoplifting. All items that were not wanted had to be hung back on hangers correctly and racked for restocking. Put clothing on hold for customers as needed.
