Professional Summary
I have been a stay at home mom for just under 13 years and am finally able to get back into the work force. My children are all in school, and I am excited to be able to work again. Being a stay at home parent has been the toughest, and most rewarding, job I have ever had. It is extremely demanding, and I do not get time off. The workload ranges from housekeeping to bookkeeper to referee to uncertified nurse. However, those things are not why it is tough. What makes it tough, is there is no room for any error. A mistake too great could potentially hinder my children and their future, and that is absolutely unacceptable. On the flip side, I do get paid daily with words of I love you, hugs, kisses, and the sense of accomplishment knowing I'm raising good people who will someday become a contributing, productive part of society. Unfortunately, that does not pay the bills, and in the world today a one income household is not enough to live and not struggle.
Before I decided to start a family, I worked in customer service, retail, and as a receptionist. I answered multi-line phones, did inventory, payroll, amongst other duties as a receptionist. I have managerial skills in retail. I have experience with the computer program S.A.P. I also took accounting and bookkeeping in college. I, unfortunately, had to quit right before I graduated with my associates degree to take care of my mother. I recently obtained my life insurance license, but have yet to put it to use. Authorized to work in the US for any employer

Additional Information
Being out of the work force for a lengthy amount of time would make any employer skeptical that one would be an ideal candidate for the position. However, in a sense, it actually makes for a near perfect choice when choosing the best person for the position. An inexperienced person could be compared to an artists brand-new canvas. Being able to be built and contoured for exactly what a company is wanting from an ideal employee. Training and teaching an individual without any resistance from previous learned work techniques or unwanted/unnecessary habits would be a managers dream come true, and a sure fire bet that an employer gets exactly what they want from their newly hired employee.
I have decided to leave the previous paragraph I wrote because I do believe what I said to be true. Yet, I'm adding this because I think it may be necessary and if it's not then, oh well for me. I have been applying for jobs for months. I have had two interviews. Yup, that's all, two. Which, to a point I understand why, and that's fine. I get it. I'm not the ideal candidate because I have been out of the work force for sometime and because of that, employers are skeptical to hire someone like me. However, I know that if given the chance I would not disappoint. I know that because having been out of the work force for a while not only would I do my best because I'm eager to get back to work but because I know that Joe Schmo behind me is most likely more qualified for the position, so I could easily be replaced. I'm not asking for some unrealistic opportunity. I'm just asking for someone to put theirselves in my position for two seconds and take a shot on someone who may not be the ideal candidate on paper, but would work hard and show you that they may be the ideal candidate on the job. Thank you.
