CONTRACT and RELIEF TEACHER 2007 - 2019

• Harristown State Secondary School – term 3 and 4, 2020 teaching years 7 to 11 special education classes. This position included writing individual curriculum plans (ICP’s) for each student, as well as modifying summative assessments to assess the students learning and reporting to parents on students’ achievements against their ICP’s.

• Highfields State Secondary College – 18-month contract (July 2016 to December 2017) working one-on-one with a verified Autistic student within the special education support unit. This position included developing an individual education plan (IEP) for this student in liaison with the Head of Special Education and specialist staff from the Education Queensland regional office, assessing the students progress towards achieving identified goals and also performing other assessments such as communication matrix assessments to identify students needs, reporting on students’ achievements and regular liaison with parents with regard to students’ individual needs.

• Clifford Park Special School – 6-month contract (January to June 2016) teaching sexual health program to a number of different classes and age groups. Also completed a number of short-term contracts and relief teacher duties over a period of 5 years at this school filling in for teachers who were on leave.

• Toowoomba West Special School – 18-month contract (July 2014 to December 2015) as district relieving teacher for special education. Also completed a number of short-term contracts and relief teaching duties over a period of 5 years with this school replacing various teachers while on leave.
