Colorado Certified ABE teacher with experience teaching in the prison setting. Have successfully worked with the offenders to provide effective instruction using various media such as lecture, video, worksheets, and google books. I endeavor to create an atmosphere where the students are self-motivated to learn. I try to have the students become a resource for questions and problem resolution rather than being their automatic dictionary or encyclopedia. At all times I try to model appropriate, productive behavior for the students to emulate.
In addition to the educational role, I also am available and have filled in other duties as needed for effective prison operations.
