WB Backlot Studio Child Daycare Center

This project entailed the construction from the underground up. We ran all SD, FW,SS lines. We worked side by side with LADWP and Olson as a general.

La Puente

This project entailed the abandonment and replacement of existing ASB lines and replacement of all service lines to local businesses. We had 2 main tie-ins in which we abandoned the existing 16” ASB and replaced it with 16” C900 using high flex couplers and mega-lug flange adapters. We than backfilled and laid the AC back down as to keep traffic access. After approval from the city of La Puente, we then came back and hot-tapped the proposed installed main and ran our service to customers end.

La Habra

This project consisted of the demo and relocation of a 18” CMLC line and vault as well as 2,6” fire lines and hydrant relocation. The proposed and completed project was to move a vault and flow meters etc. back 10’ so that the city could widen the turn lane. It consisted of 2 tie-ins, the lane closure of 2 main streets and turn lanes. We also had to strategically schedule with Edison so that we could tie in and maintain power for functionality directly after installation and completion of shutdown and tie-in.

During my time at ValVerde all of my projects and contracts, I was responsible for calling in my own usa, scheduling my crew, potholing expose, verify and document all existing utilities, demolition of street, sidewalk and structures while preserving access to any businesses, all lane and road closure including scheduling with the city and surrounding businesses, ordering trucks and scheduling haul-off of demoed material, ordering and verifying material needed for project, excavate, shore, install and backfill per safety and city spec and standard, maintain relationships with all city/private and company; inspectors and safety coordinators, superintendents, subcontractors, general contractors, dispatch and any other persons involved, trouble shooting any problems I seen while going over plans of proposed construction with my offices as well as connected offices, submitting RFIs, time sheets, extra work tickets, JSA, Material tickets etc., replacement of all asphalt and concrete while maintaining SWPE and site cleanliness for safety, pollution and production reasons and more.

Palm Desert/So Cal Gas

Here at Doty Bros. I was given the opportunity to get Veri force OQ certified and was taught how to abate, coat and test for anomalies as well as proper excavation, backfill and laying procedure around high pressure oil and gas. While at Doty I was on multiple SO Cal Gas contracts as well as a few Chevron contracts including: Blythe, El Segundo, LAX and the Port Of Long Beach.

Lomita/Torrance Public works 2004

This project entailed multiple service abandonment and installs, valve replacements, shut-downs and tie-in’s as well as vault demo and relocation. During this contract we relocated multiple 2” copper service lines from the mains, abandoned and replaced multiple 4”-6” ductile iron lines, replaced/installed multiple flow meters as well as gate valves and relocated the vaults in which they were in. We abandoned a 24” Asbestos main on the corner of Lomita and PCH and installed a pump station and formed and poured a new vault. We ran new 4” Sch. 40 for the hospital and its fire sprinkler service and relocated and replaced multiple SW laterals.

Palmdale Reclamation

This project entailed the installation of a 72” HDPE main SD line and new discharge lines to existing sludge drying beds. During this project we had hired a subcontractor to Fusion Weld the 72” line and I had the opportunity to assist in that. We ran multiple 8” HDPE bypass lines while we were re-routing the new main feeds to the beds. This project included multiple 20’+ cuts in a class B-C soil where we had to V as well as pull a shield to trench and lay the 72”.

Coachella Reclamation Plant

This was a 4 year project and consisted of demoing the existing clarifiers and all pipe in connection with it as well as running HDPE bypass lines from them and the existing sludge drying beds due to: the plant had to stay operational. We formed and poured new clarifiers and headwork structures then trenched and laid new lines to the proposed clarifiers, headworks, sifter, chlorinators and drying beds. These lines consisted of 18’ C900 RW,8” SDR 35 and multiple Sch. 80 PVC lines. We also ran a 48” RCP down the main street/entrance to the plant. While installing the 48”SD we tied into multiple existing clay mains and laterals as well as poured multiple MHs and set rings. During the duration of this project we also encountered existing ASB lines that had to be abandoned and properly disposed of. During this project I had the opportunity to get established and certified as a lead and mentored by my superintendent. I was taught and practiced proper trenching in multiple soils,shoring, procedure, elevations and how to read mechanical and structural plans.

Archibald Reclamation Plant

This project entailed deleting and installing proposed clarifiers and all lines included as well as, a new filtration system and methane deposit to reduce the odor.

Etiwanda Waste Water Treatment Plant

This Project included multiple Shutdown’s and tie-ins. The proposed project consisted of installing a 52” steel line, multiple wet wells and vaults as well as a multiple pump stations.

Perris Fresh Water Pump Station

This project entailed the installation of a HDPE 36” double containment main that would feed into a wet well and pump station, along with 2 24” CMLC lines and then pump from there out to be distributed. We excavated, formed and poured a wet well then excavated up to proposed wet well and laid HDPE and CMLC water lines to the new pump station. During this project I was given the opportunity to get certified in fusion welding through Asahi. I was certified from 1”-60” HDPE and PPE materials.

Sylmar Van Norman Chlorination Project

This project entailed the abandonment and installation of a 120” steel line and multiple other steel lines and the demoing of existing and pouring of new vaults. As proposed we ran multiple chlorine and aqua ammonia Sch.80 lines to chlorinate the water feed to the county of L.A.

I have had experience in all pipe, elevated, underground, submerged, pressurized, high pressure gravity/flow etc.

Foreman/Lead/Pipelayer Position Responsibilities:

Time sheets, time management, production meetings, production management, layout of crew 10+ including laborers, pipelayers, operators, teamsters, carpenters, finishers, rod-busters etc. Blueprint reading, elevations and layouts for all jobs, take-offs, pre-construction meetings, time scheduling, traffic shutdowns, water main shutdowns and tie-ins, Usa ticket and verify,
