It has been an honor to serve the North Texas community since 1995 as both a band director, and private business owner in music education. Throughout my career, I have served at excellent schools, including as the head band director at Liberty Christian School for over 15 years. While I was serving Liberty Christian School, I was recognized as the TAPPS Teacher Of The Year for the state of Texas in 2015. Additionally, from 1996-2019, I built a highly successful private business called The Music Academy of Denton, which flourished to include 4 locations, and exceeded over 1,200 clients weekly! I sold The Music Academy in May, of 2019.

BACHELOR DEGREE, UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS
Attending the University of North Texas was an absolute highlight of my academic and professional development. The relationships I fostered there are still a part of my career paths. Similarly, to my well-rounded experiences in high school, I was blessed to have a rather unique graduation plan in college. I graduated with a degree in composition, and as I became increasingly inspired in the field of education, I enrolled in specific classes through the aid of my guidance counselor and key professors who helped frame my education to be the most effective teacher I possibly could be. SKILLS
● Highly motivated towards impacting students’ musical education experiences
● Self-starter and self-motivated
● Sales and Marketing Director
● Operations Officer
● Excellent communication
● Team cohesiveness and administratively organized
● Excellent rapport with community event coordinators, booster organizations and board of directors
