Responsibilities
• Appointed NASA John F. Kennedy Space Center's STI Manager DAA Representative, served as the main Point-of-Contact (POC) for KSC and participated in various STIP activities when a STI classified as, Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information (UCNI), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Oversight and coordination were provided to ensure contractor compliance with the Critical Design Review (CRD) portion of DOE O 241.1B, Scientific and Technical Information Management and other applicable Department of Energy (DOE) directives with related requirements (i.e., regarding sensitivity reviews, etc.), by staying abreast of the STI Program (STIP) and coordinated the implementation of STIP related requirements.
• Ensured a DAA form completed if the STI believed to be Sensitive but Unclassified (SBU). This procedure ensured an appropriate sensitivity review process of STI implemented and an appropriate review and marking before release outside of the center's jurisdiction of their site prior to release to Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) or Web posting. This review was achieved with the assistance of the NASA STI Contract Support team with the collection, organizing, dissemination, and archiving
(through the National Archives and Records Administration [NARA]) for the approved STI. Program Specialist - (Assistant Records Manager)

Responsibilities
• Planned, controlled, directed, organized, trained, managerial activities involved in records creation, maintenance and use, and disposition to achieve adequate and proper documentation of the policies and transactions of the Federal Government's Federal Records Act (44 U.S.C 31) and corresponding Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs) that requires all federal agencies maintain records that document activities, file records for safe storage and efficient retrieval, and dispose of records according to agency General Records Schedules (GRS) ensuring the data held was accurate and stored securely, and to ensure these obligations were met.
• Trained Records Custodians to manage records at the office level and implement records management policies and procedures by applying the five step essential records management procedures to each of their office level records, which were: set up a Records Retention Schedule; adhere to the government's Policies and Procedures; provide accessibility, indexing, and storage; compliance auditing, per the GRS. The main objective was to oversee the organization's records from creation and preservation through to disposal. The major goals met by training each organization's staff members and by making them aware of the legal responsibilities of ensuring the data held were accurate and stored securely. EDUCATION
