Business Systems Contractor, Raynham, MA Full time 11/2012 to present Primary Responsibilities

• Business requirement discovery, integration with legacy systems, verifying functionality, working with business stakeholders for requirements approval. Maintenance and training of systems in FileMaker Pro.

• Gather cross company requirements around legacy reporting to analyze and understand the feasibility of creating Cognos metadata or reporting to migrate users away from their legacy reporting system.

Critical Projects

• Developed Cognos 10 Business Workspace Advanced training program for all Avid employees. The training included multiple hands on-sessions across the globe with slides and demos. Created a video of the training for users unable to attend in person.

• Created 20+ dynamic quarterly financial reports in Report Studio from a Transfomer cube datasource. The reports included MDX, prompting, conditional rendering and drill through to relational reporting. • Lead analyst on a new external vendor pricing system. Responsibilities include business requirement discovery, integration with legacy systems, verifying functionality, working with business stakeholders for requirements approval. Worked closely with the external vendor to understand data requirements, data loads and monthly maintenance.

Business Systems Analyst, IBM, Westford, MA 11/2006 – 7/2011 Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze the IBM Software Group Sales Operations business intelligence requirements related to sales pipeline and communicate the requirements to the central datamart team and add new requirements to metadata models and Transformer OLAP solutions for consumption by the sales operations team in Cognos Report Studio and Analysis Studio.

• Train software sales operations staff in both large web conferences and one on one sessions in Cognos 8.4 Analysis Studio and Report Studio to enable them to migrate legacy reporting from Brio. Critical Projects

• Worked to transform the IBM Software Group Sales Operations team to Cognos reporting by creating OLAP based standard sales pipeline reports from legacy Brio and Excel requirements to be consumed by 200+ users in a centralized Websphere portal. Responsibilities included metadata modeling (relational and OLAP) and advanced report design in Cognos 8.4 including javascipt and conditional formatting. Project resulted in band level promotion.

• Led a team of global sales analysts to enable them to migrate their legacy Brio/Excel reporting to Cognos. Responsibilities included analyzing legacy reporting, creating a detailed plan to migrate reports, mentoring staff in report creation in report studio and tracking progress of the migration to plan.

• Worked as the lead of the business intelligence team for Cognos’ global commissions system. Responsibilities included gathering business requirements, prototyping, and presenting a proof of concept for the sales representative compensation statements and related reporting. Helped design, build and implement a commission’s related data mart and associated metadata modeling; implemented a robust commission statement in Cognos 8.
