For this job position I was a bilingual customer service rep for the Healthcare Marketplace health insurance services department. This job position was on-site in a local Maximus call center in my hometown Brownsville, TX. My job duties in this role consisted of being in charge of responding to English & Spanish calls for new applicants that wanted to enroll in healthcare coverage during the open enrollment period. When filling and submitting the applications, the system determines if the applicants qualify or disqualify. I also responded to calls for existing members that were already enrolled in healthcare coverage, and just needed to renew for the new year in case there were any changes necessary to be updated- This would determine if their monthly premium would remain the same or change for the new enrollment year.
This job position was limited-service employment, so I got laid off within 3 months from my employment start date.

I am a stay at home wife and mother, so I run and self manage my own small business to help my husband and add extra income into our household.
In this business I provide service to customers for multiple custom made requested products. I create children’s to adult size custom made T-shirts, girl’s and women’s headbands & bows, accessories, jewelry, personalized cups, car vinyl stickers, and custom personalized phone cases. I also on occasions provide service for party decorations, cake baking & decoration, and food catering. In my years of managing my own small business, I have acquired excellent skills and experience in customer service and business management. I absolutely love my work, and I love providing my customers the best experience and satisfaction for their special events. I have successfully self managed my small business for about 6 years.
I promote and market my business with business cards and flyers I give out to the public in my area to gain more customers and sales and also promote my business on my social media platforms as well. I handle customer calls for orders of products and for custom design requests and add ons or changes in orders. I also note down customer's address information for delivery options or for the party locations where the party will take place when the service is for party planning. I receive the most calls or chat messages during the occasions that I get the most product demand for gifts, which is on special occasions and holidays.
My acquired skills include inventory management, business & order management, demand satisfaction, customer service when interacting with customers, multitasking, creativity & imagination, designing products, and planning decoration ideas. My payment methods are cash payments, Zelle, or Cash App/Pay Pal. I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I have learned to speak to and approach customers in my area according to the language they best speak. I directly interact constantly with customers, and this has given me great communication experience and skills. Giving my best customer service possible, and keeping customers happy with product demands has given me outstanding results in my business. At last, I have my own personal laptop and small office setting at home for my business management, which I utilize for planning and designing my product ideas and product order management and inventory.
