Addendum (10 key categorized experiences (quick-read summaries for the employer’s personnel/management):

• Procurement: For over 30 years, I have been involved with all aspects of Procurement, from its inception years as Purchasing and later into its growing needs of Vendor Management and Risk Management. I progressed with the industry, becoming a guru in each process during my working time at large companies including Prudential Financial, Saks Fifth Avenue, UBS Financial Services, and BNP Paribas. I have managed it domestically and globally.

• Risk Management: I was recruited by a former executive to another firm to help resolve issues that led to a major fine from the Securities and Exchange Commission. This entailed extreme scrutinization of rules, regulations, and processes and many collaborative meetings with outside counsel, internal legal, and compliance areas. I also built tight procedures and helped develop automated processes alongside internal IT and external partners. Throughout the 9 years of my employment there, all department audits and court cases had zero findings. The legal team valued me to the extreme because of that.

• Supply Chain/Keeping the Lights On: The need for a strong Supply Chain became magnified in 2020 through 2022. I’ve always had success as a manager with many strategies towards Keeping the Lights On including supply needs. My proudest moments came post-COVID-19 when I was able to keep a life-saving employer in business by attaining enough Personal Supplies to provide full safety to the employees working at the facility. Such crucial supplies included masks, soaps, and gloves which were unavailable to most consumers/companies. Production supplies were also challenging to attain. I attribute my managerial persuasion and continued vendor relations as the main tools that helped keep our essential manufacturing and production needs active.

• Sourcing/Negotiations: I have a great deal of experience proposing and selecting outsourced vendors and services. I have produced enormous savings through vigorous bids, including using reverse auctions, to drive down costs

(saved ~$2,000,000 annually) from incumbent vendors that sometimes feel too secure with their long-term contracts.

• SOWs: I have negotiated all aspects of contracts such as terms, conditions, change-orders, and SOWs for agreements including reviewing the proposed work, hours, licenses, performance levels, and security measures. Additionally, I have collaborated with the vendors and related department managers by coordinating and leading meetings to ensure a full scope of the desired need is covered as proactively as possible.

• Request for Proposals: Depending on the spend in many cases, for each bid I have reviewed and compared between 3 to 5 RFPs, ensuring they are as close to an apples-to-apples alignment as possible. I have collaborated with the affected areas to ensure the proposals complied with their needs. Some have involved software, services, equipment, reports, and production materials.

• Agreements: I have utilized my ghostwriting and other writing skills in addition to my past skills working with legal and outside counsel to help scrutinize all SLAs, master contracts, amendments, or any other pertinent documents related to Agreements are accurate and termed properly and, of course, in-line with my firms’ needs. I also ensure applicable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and control each agreement’s expectations are strong.

• Procedures: I have written Procedures for multiple departments, which included many processes such as exporting data, RFx steps, and shared-drive usages while also ensuring they are comprehensible. My written Procedures have been used to support external audits, demonstrating further compliance to the auditors.

• Vendor Relations: I have ensured to build professional relationships with the vendors during positive and negative periods. I utilize communications as a tool towards Vendor Relations as it helps avoid misperceptions and it also helps enhance vendor performance, and negotiations by demonstrating any unsatisfactory or unachieved goals.

• Staff Mentoring: I have managed staffs in excess of 40 (both permanent and temporary) including those who were at multiple locations. Many of them have organically advanced their careers with the help of my development techniques. Recently, I rebuilt and expanded four departments by developing incumbent employees and finding external talent through vigorous screenings as such roles are too unique to specifically find exact background skills. Each of the production departments I took over improved their ROI (Return on Investment) rather quickly, which initiated senior management to continue requesting me to take on and fix more departments’ efficiencies and improve their teams. I am a strong advocate for full-circle communication, with managers and staff members – a trait I’ve carried throughout my whole career.
