Duties include implementing, directing and coordinating the care of patients both inpatient and in the outpatient department including scheduling of all IV related tasks and charging for all services rendered. Recommend, initiate and coordinate the discharge process for home IV therapy clients and direct the process through to conclusion. Assists in on-going education of staff to ensure patients are receiving quality of care according to policy/standards related to IV therapy. Maintaining advanced skill level for intravenous device insertion and selection of peripheral and central lines; i.e. Midline/PICC line.
