Projects:
College Success Predictor
Uses a dataset of socio-economic factors of college students to predict student GPA and if they will drop out
This is done using a SVM to produce a model that classifies dropout status, and produces the GPA result using linear regression
The model had results of >90% accuracy when applied to a historical database of student socio-economic factors.
Breast Cancer Model
A model to classify estrogen receptor status that uses a clinical patient dataset to better analyze the chance of early onset breast cancer
A support vector machine and decision trees were used to make a classification model based of the dataset
The model had results of >95% accuracy when applied to a historical early onset cancer database.
Experience:
George Mason University Fairfax, Virginia
Support Center Analyst September 2023-Present
Analysis of call data to make recommendations for supervisor decisions
oMy analysis determined that of the ~100 daily calls, only ~3 were after 7pm and thus the expense of the normal staffing level was not justified. My recommended reduction resulted in an 8% budget savings.
Providing tech support over the phone, live chat, and walk-in desk
