CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

As a Staffing Lead faculty member I have staffed a grand total of over 200 courses in Human Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Biology and Chemistry at National University.

As a Professor I have carried a full load of the above academic classes for all academic years to date.

As a faculty member I have consistently received high scores from students in their assessment evaluations of learning, teaching, and course content while maintaining a GPA for the students consistent with National University standards.

Have published seven peer reviewed papers on hemoglobin oxidation studies of diabetics blood in the Journal of Diabetes and Metabolism in 2013; in Diabetes Research and Treatment in 2014, 2015 and 2016; in the ARC Journal of Diabetes and Endocrinology in 2017; in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology Research in 2019; and in the Journal of Diabetes Research Reviews & Reports in 2020.

Made a total of twelve scholastic presentations pertaining to nitrite ester induced hemoglobin oxidation studies in diabetics blood at both the National University Spring Symposium and Fall National University Research & Scholarship Conferences, the 4th and 5th World Congress on Diabetes and Metabolism in 2013 and 2014, the International Conference on Targeting Diabetes, Novel Therapeutics in 2015,the 11th Diabetologists Conference in 2018, the 3rd International Conference on Diabetes and Healthcare in 2019, and the 3rd Annual Congress on Diabetes and Its Complications in 2019.

Have years of postdoctorate experience and have submitted grants for research funding.

Completed preliminary research studies on the effect of alkyl nitrite on human diabetics hemoglobin which was found to be more susceptible to oxidation to methemoglobin as compared to the control group (P< 0.05).

Acted as an observer for the National University COLS multiple times for several adjunct faculty members wherein these faculty were rigorously evaluated in both the laboratory and lecture courses they taught for both Anatomy & Physiology and Introductory Microbiology using the official faculty evaluation forms.

Upgraded quality and improved performance of over 100 allergen discs (drug, tree/grass pollen, mold and food discs) through elimination of false positives, using in-house negative serum samples and to closely match the Pharmacia ImmunoCAP values in IU/mL as was technically possible on atopic IgE serum samples.

Increased potency of raw extracts used to manufacture discs, resulting in up to 80% cost savings in their manufacture and production.
