Responsibilities
• Perform phlebotomy [Venipuncture and capillary puncture]to collect samples from the client.
• Welcoming clients by greetings, requesting the required information, preparing, explain, the sample collection process, and ensure client have followed the right protocol prior to sample collection for quality sample.
• Follow all Heath, safety and infection control policies to maintain the environment for clients and staff
• Mentor/trainer of the new staff for the operation/ use /care / maintenance and proper management of various laboratory equipment like CD4, Chemistry, CBC, Gene-X pert Analyzers
, including proper inventory management
• Participate in ongoing Continuous Medical Education and professional development to remain on the current with industry standard.
• Document and maintain client information with the LIS.
• File and review all file records
• Participate in the competency assessment.
• Prepare and package specimen for transportation.
• Perform and review quality control results and escalate failed control results to the MLT or Manager, lab services.
• Follow all lab safety protocols, always ensure client privacy and confidentiality.
• Knowledge with medical and laboratory Term knowledge.
• Fire martial and rescue Team member and First Aider ready to give basic life support for the company.
• Proof of license renewal for medical practice in the current medical standard with Allied Health Professional Council.
