• Also ensured the mixture used to cleanse patients blood was correct. Intake of patients when they arrived.
• Blood pressure, weight, heart rate were all taken & documented prior to treatment.
• Setting up patients would include insertion of needles arterial & venous veins.
• This was to take blood out, cleanse it & put blood back in. Fluid was also drained from patients.
• During treatment Blood pressure & heart rates were taken in 30 minute intervals.
• Machines & the lines were also checked to ensure proper amounts of uid being removed.
• Once treatment was completed, patients blood pressure & heart rates were assessed.
• Patients needles/lines were removed.
• The bags of blood were drained, disposed of properly, machines were cleaned & prepared for next patient.
