o Responsible for serving subpoenas in accordance to the law to various persons of interest, offices, establishments and hospitals. Picked up medical records from different hospitals throughout New York City, along with DNA, and Rape kits. Picked up death certificates from the Medical Examiners office for the Homicide bureau. Assigned to go to the Department of Corrections to collect inmate records for attorneys. o Assisted with inter-office case filing. Filing finished folders, also breaking down old folders and files to be re-filed in appropriate locations. Locate finished folders that attorneys may need for a new case in a timely and orderly fashion. o Responsible for receiving and processing all outside mail and packages from USPS, Fed Ex and UPS, and private shipping companies. Logged in all packages, and express mail into log books. Sort all incoming mail and inter-office mail, collate, and then delivered mail to respective bureaus and office personnel. Picked up grand jury minutes from Supreme Court. Stamp all outgoing mail using a Pitney Bowes mailing machine. o Other administrative duties as assigned. For example, I was appointed temporary Team Leader in the Mail Room and assisted in moving and arranging furniture in various office locations.
