This letter of reference is in support of Mark Richert’s application for employment. Mark has served as my personal and confidential secretary, beginning in September 2014. I knew Mark personally before that time, and when my secretary retired after nearly thirty years of service with the judiciary, I asked Mark if he was willing to take the position. He agreed. Despite the prospect of being the only male secretary in the vicinage, he took the required typing test and scored remarkably high. He is also computer literate, something that my prior secretary was not. Given the transition to computer driven data bases, this is a significant asset.
