Manage and perform all General Accounting, Audit & Finance functions.
Daily processing and verification of all transactions: sales invoices, purchases, Inventory, bank transactions, cash receipts, expenses, etc. Regular follow up with clients / Receivables to ensure that their statements are accurate, updated and outstanding balances are collected promptly. Reconcile Suppliers accounts and discuss with them any discrepancy in their statements. Record / update outstanding and due balances in the cash budget. Prepare the weekly check run, foreign and local bank transfer schedules and submit to the General Manager, with related supporting documents, for signature. Conduct and review periodic reconciliations of all ledger accounts and ensure their accuracy as per the ERP system’s Trial Balance and Reports. Month-end closing entries, including deferred revenues, prepaid expenses, accruals, and update the Fixed Assets and related depreciation schedule. Prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet – Income Statement - Cash flow Statement) and related supporting schedules. (IFRS & GAAP) Liaison with banks, external auditors, lawyers, maintenance, insurance and shipping companies.
Prepare the Annual Budget; Discuss with related departments and branches. Investigate monthly variances and discuss rectifications. CAREER HISTORY
