Personal
In order for you to better understand who I am and what type of fit I might be for your church, let me share a little about myself. I am 40 years-old and have been in ministry for 20 years. I have been married to my wife Cymbre since May 2004. We have 2 children: 13 year-old Ranston and 11 year-old Kenner. I believe that everyone in the church, from toddlers to senior adults, can serve in the church and be a part of the local Body of Christ. One of the things that our culture has created is a consumeristic mentality. This impacts the church because members and visitors come to church with a consumer mentality rather than wanting to be a part of what God is doing. I feel that God has placed a burden on my heart to help people have a larger view of what the church is. It is not just another non-profit in the community but rather the Church is the hope of the world! It is God’s plan for restoring his harmony back to the earth He created. I want to help people of all ages to see where and how they can serve in the church and be a part of what God is doing. I believe that discipleship plays such a crucial role in this endeavor.
God has placed a passion on my heart to help ministers and churches grow in how they minister to families and how they include youth and children to feel like they are valued members of the Body of Christ. This works itself out in ministering to the family as a whole. This requires the church to slow down and not start as many ministries as they can handle but rather invest in individual families in order to see the church grow in strength and roots which will make the church sustainable for longer.
