*WORK HISTORY*
LONE STAR HR & LEGAL CONSULTING – RICHMOND, TX
Principal & Consultant (07/2019 – Present)
Continuing my Legal & HR consulting practice after a near-3-year hiatus at STP. The practice handles all client needs, such as regulatory compliance, training & development, training HR teams, serving as the interim HR team, creating or changing a client’s culture, employee engagement, litigation management, and interim HR leadership roles. In the market as a result of a reduction of new client activity due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
STP NUCLEAR OPERATING COMPANY – WADSWORTH, TX
Employment Law, Labor Law & Litigation Counsel (10/2016 – 06/2019)
Retained to negotiate a 4-year collective bargaining agreement as Head of Labor Relations; negotiated the lowest salary increase over STP’s 38-year history. After the IBEW labor agreement was completed, I moved to the General Counsel’s office and maintained oversight for all Employment Law and Labor Law, while also managing all outside mediation and litigation. Operating a nuclear power plant gets more expensive with age. After more than 38 years, owners wanted cost savings resulting in an FTE reduction of 250 – including my position.
LONE STAR HR & LEGAL CONSULTING – HOUSTON, TX
Principal & Consultant (05/2008 – 09/2016)
Started consulting practice in 2008 during the recession handling HR & legal issues, such as regulatory compliance, training HR teams, creating corporate cultures, employee engagement, and interim VPHR leadership roles. My primary responsibility in this role was to market services provided by my consulting practice and timely completion of all client deliverables.

The primary goals were to cure a fractured HR Department and establish integrated HR functions merging recent acquisitions into the existing culture. I was the interim VPHR, and they wanted to convert me to a full-time employee, but there were some challenging issues involving our 15-year-old daughter that required both parents in Texas.
