Elliott Data Systems (St. Louis, MO) 03/06 – 3/2013 Project Manager

Badging and Credential Emergency Management Tracking application. The primary focus and growth in the last several years has been in the Healthcare industry. Two products offered are: an Emergency Management application that tracks medicines distributed to individuals in an emergency incident situation—primarily for public Health Departments; and another product that is implemented in hospitals which is a secure medicine/narcotic distribution drawer/unit product that is located in the patient’s room – the solution can be stand alone or Server based. Worked directly with clients, IT and vendors from Pre Sales, planning to implementation and training to successful completion.

• Develop and maintain project plan for solution implementation, timeline as well as resources needed and manage via project management tools such as: MS Project 2010, MS Excel.

• Attend meetings with Development to discuss and assess best logic and workflow for various functions of application and gather requirements.

• Involved with product testing and documentation for debugging of various applications.

• Collaborate with Sales to present solution to prospects and personnel to accurately describe and explain solution as well as concept.

• Installed wireless PC based mobile medical carts at various hospitals located in St. Louis, Illinois and Kentucky. Coordinate with management the logistics of equipment delivery, installation, configuration of equipment, preparing training materials and deliver training to end users.

• Document customer input and feedback about various functions of application and present to Development Manager for future product enhancements or changes.

• Create software installation and training manuals.

• Customer support post-delivery.

Notable Projects:

Health Dept. Emergency Management Medicine Distribution installation The project goal was to implement an Emergency Management Medication Distribution solution for several Health Departments. The solution was a mobile SQL Server based system with multiple thin clients connecting via WIFI and Ethernet that would serve a broad range of patients ranging from 100 – 500 per incident.

• Served as Project Manager for $500K project and worked directly with C-Level client and respective managers. Gathered customer requirements and expectations and developed project plan.

• Worked closely with the Health Department’s Primary Point of Contact throughout the project. Coordinated ad hoc meetings to discuss various aspects of the project and implementation plan.

• Responsible for delivery and overall success of project. Worked closely with our development group to insure application release date would be met which affected installation date. Was also involved in testing application and documenting problems. Would also work through entire testing and debugging process to ensure stability in all platforms.

• Help Desk/Customer Support on all applications.

Health Dept. Asset Management Ordering & Distribution System The project goal was to incorporate a solution that would enable multiple counties to distribute assets with each other, changing ownership of said assets, documenting the entire process and to generate reports of all activities.

• The major accomplishment of the project was that it did not modify or change existing processes, as it incorporated and introduced a new, automated process to the environment. I worked closely with Sales to present the concept to executives through on site, live demonstrations.

• The project allowed the customer to efficiently order and transfer medical assets from partnering counties which increased preparedness for scheduled clinic events as well Emergency Incident type events.

• Reported to all levels of management through the project as well as post project wrap up.

• After completion, provided First Tier (Software, hardware) support on this project for approximately 3 months. After the customer was comfortable with application, support was handed off to Tier I group. On larger scale projects and depending on the client, I would act as First Level of support. This model would be positioned for a maximum level of support to instill customer satisfaction and confidence in the product.
