I absolutely love working with the public and helping others. I am quite easy to get along with and enjoy my job. I am looking for a full-time position with a company I have potential to grow with.

I am currently employed with Cahaba Pain and Spine Care as a Clinical Administrator. I have been here since we opened in 2016. I am in charge of making sure that the front desk runs as it should, verifying insurances, taking care of all of the medical records for the entire clinic including but not limited to law offices, other doctors’ offices, disability determination, and insurance companies while making sure they are all hippa compliant. Other tasks also include balancing and making deposits for medical record collections and balancing/making deposits for the end of the day.

Previously, I was a Medical Assistant working for Dr. Cheryl Goyne. Dr. Goyne is a pain specialist/neurologist. I loved my job, however Dr. Goyne decided to close her practice and go to work for a larger practice. Our office was extremely fast paced. My job included getting patients back to their room, getting vitals, going over all medications, and giving injections if needed. I was also responsible for following up on any testing or procedures that they had done and making sure the doctor received promptly and returning all the nurse’s calls, phoning in prescriptions and getting controlled prescriptions ready for the doctor to sign. The software we used was Athena Health.

I was employed with Alabama Psychiatric Services on Acton Road for 16 months as a medical secretary. I worked specifically for one doctor and two therapists; I did intake appointments, checked insurance benefits, scheduled their appointments and kept up their charts. (paper charts at that time) Unfortunately, they went out of business.

I was previously registered with the State of Alabama as a Pharmacy Tech and worked for Integracare Pharmacy where we filled prescriptions for multiple nursing homes however, they went out of business also.

I am very familiar and proficient in using Athena Health as I have used it for roughly 12 years. Also, Greenway Medical Software, Microsoft office, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint. I learn quickly and always make sure that my tasks are completed before I get off work.

I have been vaccinated against Hepatitis and Covid, in the past I have had CPR and Osha training but have had no reason to keep it up to date.
