SUMMARY

As a seasoned electrical engineer, I possess a wealth of expertise in the design and validation of aircraft control systems. My professional journey has spanned over seven years, during which I have had the privilege of working for Pratt & Whitney Puerto Rico. My tenure at the company began as an Associate Engineer, and I quickly rose through the ranks to become an Engineer II. Throughout my time at Pratt & Whitney, I have honed my skills in system and software engineering, with a particular focus on military and commercial aircraft engines.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Associate Engineer April 4, 2016 - 2018

Pratt & Whitney Puerto Rico

April 4, 2016 - December 31, 2016 - As an Airframe Integrated Product Team (IPT) designer in the Software System Electronics (SSE) department, I am responsible for overseeing the execution of change requests ( CR) throughout the aircraft design process. My primary focus is on designing aircraft logic circuits that utilize ARINC 429 communication between the cockpit and various systems, including sensors, valves, actuators, and the Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC). To ensure that these circuits are functioning properly, I generate code that is uploaded into the FADEC computer, which is found in commercial and military engines such as the A320, BA, MRJ, and Irkut. I then perform informal testing using a variety of tools, including MatLab unit testing, SANDBOX, Softbench, Drybench, and Wetbench. Once testing is complete, I discuss the results with the Airframe Integration Discipline Chief to verify that the customer's system requirements are met. This involves analyzing the system response due to impacted logic and making any necessary adjustments. Throughout the process, I maintain full documentation and traceability in the customer's own documents, ensuring that all system and software level requirements are met.

Overall, my role is critical in ensuring that aircraft systems are functioning properly and meeting the needs of our customers.

January 1, 2017 - As the Engine Control and Events IPT Designer and Focal for the Advanced Military Engines Program, my role is to design logic and system requirements that meet the specific needs of our customers' aircraft. I report directly to the Systems Engineering IPT, where I am responsible for designing logic in accordance with the DO-178A document and engineering standard work. To ensure that our logic changes and system requirements are effective, I create software test builds and implement new customer system/software requirements. Additionally, I develop logic documentation and oversee the product life cycle.

My work is critical to the success of our program, and I take great pride in ensuring that our engines meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

requirements.Flight testing data analysis.Engine test data analysis May 25, 2017 - As the owner of the global RA failures analysis, my role was to oversee the identification and resolution of every failure introduced during the design implementation of change requests (CR) in the past RD. Working closely with the Control System IPT, I analyzed each failure and proposed solutions to address them. Once a proposal was made, it was presented to the CSIPT for approval and implementation. To ensure that our software life cycle maintained a high standard of quality assurance, I audited each CR documentation in the RD. This allowed us to identify any potential issues early on and address them before they became major problems.

Overall, my role was critical in ensuring that our software development process was efficient, effective, and reliable. By identifying and addressing failures early on, we were able to minimize downtime and ensure that our systems were always operating at peak performance. July 1, 2018 - As the focal point for engine control systems IPT, I am responsible for designing both minor and major loop logic. This involves creating logic that meets customer system level requirements and PSA specifications, which are then tested through NPSS and logic robustness testing. To ensure the highest level of quality, I implement silver, gold, and platinum trims in the current software base on PSA development. This allows for a more refined and precise control system. My expertise extends to designing control system logic for military engines, both major and minor loop. With my attention to detail and dedication to excellence, I am confident in my ability to deliver exceptional results.
