Summary:

Beginning my working career as a technical secretary and rising to become an office manager, overseeing four administrative assistants, I am comfortable working in the medical and scientific environment. My various duties have led me to an expertise in computer skills and instilled an appreciation for scientific research and its benefits. Supervised four administrative assistants – including an incident involving corrective action that resulted in improved behavior.

As Peoplesoft was being phased out, attended numerous training sessions in preparation for Workday.

Assisted the admins in learning to use Workday – created and distributed instructions allowing physicians to delegate their admins.

Supported 20+ physicians.

Organized and distributed the on-call schedule for the Surgical Trauma, Burns ICU as well as the Thoracic and Cardiac Critical Care Units – with multiple iterations during the month.

Inputted the Anesthesia critical care attendings and residents into the QGenda scheduling system.

Prepared and assisted in putting together the documents for the continued accreditation of the Critical Care Fellowship Program with ACGME, including site visits – the challenge of keeping a site visit day running on time.

Coordinator of the Harvard Anesthesia Review and Update course for five years – organized syllabus with over 50 faculty including their conflict-of-interest forms, speaker profiles and summaries or slides.

Created and maintained curriculum vitae for my physicians first as a Word document and later via the EasyCV system – using Harvard format.

Helped prepare and submit manuscripts to various journals following their specific guidelines as well as grant submissions to different organizations – be it journals such as Anesthesiology, PLoSOne, or grants to NIH, Women’s Brain Initiative, etc.
