I started with the State of Florida as an administrative assistant, shortly after being hired I was encouraged to apply for a management position. One week in my first management role I was promoted to a second level manager in the Environmental Health Section where I managed a team of 12 clerical staff. While in this role I used the Microsoft Power Platform to transform the way the department processed and reviewed their Onsite Sewage Permit applications. My accomplishments here include the following.

I converted the department from a paper application process to a digital process. I built a solution that utilized SharePoint for document storage and Microsoft Lists to track and assign the applications to the inspectors for review. The processes were Automated with Microsoft Power Automate. Staff utilized Microsoft Forms to submit the applications for review. I was then able to create and provide reports to manage from the data collected in Power BI.

I built an online inspection request portal for their customers utilizing Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Lists and Power Automate. Inspection results were automatically delivered back to their customers by email when the inspectors entered the results into Microsoft Lists.

I created an online customer service website, which allowed the contractors to research the status of their applications and inspections using a Microsoft Power Page.

I built processes to track their Pool Applications in Microsoft Lists and automated the generation of the initial operating permit as well as other documents utilizing a premium Adobe Service Connector in Power Automate.

I built two other smaller processes in Microsoft Lists to track OSTDS Operating Permits and Abandonment Permits. The Abandonment List interfaced with the Permit Review List and the Inspection Scheduling List.

In my second role at Lee County, I was responsible for configuring the Department of Community Development's database and creating Crystal reports from the database. Creation and implementation of a completely paperless plan review application processes for building construction permit applications. This involved training the public, contractors, and engineers on the electronic submittal of plans. It also involved the development of programs and the training of roughly fifty members of staff on plan review software.

Intense process improvement for Code Enforcement, including auto generation of their notice of violations and other documents and systematic scheduling of their inspections.
