JOB OBJECTIVES

Seeking a job a mental health Technician to utilize my Expertise and acquired skills to provide support to patient who are needs help. To ensure that people with mental health problems have their rights respected and are safe from harm. To also enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn well and work well, and contribute to their community.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervising and monitoring patients within the facility to ensure their safety

Observe and maintain an awareness of individuals’ behavior and physical whereabouts

Identify and report safety concerns

Coach patients to function independently in self-help and activity of daily living, including personal hygiene, feeding, grooming, etiquette, and social skill

Observe and document patient’s progress and report observations to appropriate staff

Recognize, prevent, and intervene in situations in which a client may have been a danger to self or others

Completed required documentation in the individual’s and unit record

Provide staff with relief coverage for break periods by appropriately supervising patients or answering telephone

Continuously monitor the individual response to treatment and behavioral activities.

Always supervise and assist individuals as needed.

To help support behavioral issues Client with skills and understanding.

Assists the nursing staff in performing all duties.

Assist in assessment of need for as well as the application and removal and use restraint.

Aware of patient behavioral issues, and observation making rounds as necessary.

Performing comprehensive risk assessments on patients.

Educating patients families about the patient mental health issues and educating them on how they can aid their treatment

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provided training and support in all daily living skills including but not limited to nutrition, personal hygiene, health care, safety, communication, interpersonal relations, mobility, financial management, home management and use of leisure time as outlined in the individual service plan (ISP).

Ensured consumers were taking medication according to prescribed schedule.

Accompanied consumer and facilitated participation in visits for medical care, therapies, personal shopping, recreation and other community activities as needed.

Maintained and submitted required paperwork in a timely manner. (i.e.: time sheets, expense reports)

Attended and participated in Mandatory Staff Meetings and other training and events as required.

Communicated regularly with House Manager and/or Client Services Coordinator (as needed), on consumer’s progress, issues and concerns as they arise. Performed other duties as assigned.
