WORKING EXPERIENCE
Sept 2016 to Oct 2023: Tata Chemicals Magadi Limited Position: Mechanical Plant Planner/Inspector.
Responsibilities:
Develop maintenance strategies master plan and ensure its implementation aimed at increasing plant availability.
Planning and scheduling maintenance jobs through SAP Modules.
Generating reports and keep tracks of activities by logging in the SAP modules.
Carrying out cost analysis using SAP modules.
Carry out shutdown planning scheduling, costing and execution of planned activities.
Conduct alignment of various drive such as Rotor mill, kiln main drive, combustion blowers exhaust and induction fans.
Carry out first level and specific inspection using vibration measuring machine,laser alignment, thermal gun, tachometer and thickness testing.
Carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant conveyors, crusher, elevators and ensure their lubrication schedule is adhered to.
Co-ordinate with inventory team on specification of spares and ensures availability.

Responsibilities:
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
Performs scheduled, breakdown and autonomous maintenance from raw materials to clinker discharge all through from apron feeder, stacking, reclaiming, grinding, pre-heater, calcination, cooling and crushing.
Crusher inspection i.e. drive gearbox, bearing, lining, hammers, looseness of the bearing housing, belts and cracks inspection on the v-belts.
Utility inspection and minor adjustments.
Conduct alignment of various drive such as Rotor mill, kiln main drive, combustion blowers exhaust and induction fans.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Trouble shoot, rectify and repair machines/ mechanical appliances as per work Standards.

I was attached at East Africa Portland Cement Athi-river plant for the duration of three months that is Oct 2006-Dec 2006.I worked under mechanical workshop of the company and worked among the team for the general maintenances of the plant from quarry to the cement dispatch.
