I took an EMT class for 2 semesters and earned my CPR certification & First Aid. Ilearned how to partake in CPR for children and adults, received all my up to date vaccines and shots. In order to complete the course we were offered to do interns at firehouses and hospitals we had to have 48 hrs of service in order for it to have been completed. I did one internship at the hospital and 3 at firehouses. Reviewed Cardiology, Neurology, & Orthopedics, and different age groups and how to care for them in different situations and class of injuries, BLS, PALS. How oxygen is administered & how to administer it to the patient. Covered all medical care and treatment except how to start an IV.
