Maintained a very active caseload of approximately 165 claims, 95% of which were litigated. Responsible for essentially, every claim management activity, inclusive of paying benefits and my own back-up work as well. I also received a 97% internal audit score.

Intercare – Rocklin, Ca. – Senior Claims Examiner – November 2022– September 2023

Maintained a very active caseload which is about 75% litigated. The case load was close to 160 claims. I am very responsive to my clients and strive for good communication and proactive claim handling to resolve the claims as soon as possible. I did receive praise for claim handling by my supervisor as well as upper management. Maintained an internal audit score of 92%.

Cannon, Cochran, Management Services Inc – Senior Claims Examiner – August 2011 – November 2022

I was responsible for an active caseload of approximately 110 claims. The case load was approximately 95% litigated. I worked very closely with my clients, C&S Wholesale Grocers and SBM Site services for the length of my employment. There were also some other smaller clients. There was a team approach to the handling of the caseload and my clients were always happy with my work product. Proactive claims handling was instrumental in being able to resolve my claims usually, within 1-3 years after inception.

Claims Supervisor – Cannon, Cochran, Management Services, Inc.- April 2019 - June 2022 – I was responsible for a team of 9 people, all handling various accounts. During COVID, myself and the claims manager, were able to close the office in approximately 6 hours. I became responsible for all the offices’ outgoing mail as well as my normal work duties as a supervisor.

Tristar Risk Management, Walnut Creek, Ca. – Senior Claims Examiner – July 2004 – July 2011 Responsible for the dedicated accounts of SFUSD, and several Superior Court locations. I learned how to handle 4850 claims as well as worked very closely with my clients to properly manage the claims and resolve them in a timely fashion.
