Designed new DD/DP PTO cover for aftermarket upfit PTO’s, added flat to place foot on, and fits all RS PTO suppliers.
Redesigned Cummins Diesel LO SCR hot end exhaust, in one week, which didn’t meet decking, had no solution, and would have impacted vehicle timing, saving millions of dollars if a new redesign was required with retesting compliance.
Released over 700 Teamcenter parts to support Sync2 and Sync3 milestones.
Supported 2025 Advanced Heavy Duty Truck plan, created Teamcenter/NX Tree, created assembly CAD models and parts from S&C groups.

PHEV Design & release engineer for new Body on Frame based SUV, Grand Wagoneer
Designed, packaged, and released the High Voltage Battery, IDCM, & PIM, completely redesign the battery to package.
Key Role for being a PHEV expert to get a PHEV variant into future products.
Worked on global initiative to communize PHEV components across vehicle lines.

Responsible for Electric Power Steering Gear (EPS) working with 5 suppliers to package the best design to fit vehicle.
Responsible for packaging the entire AWD driveline of the C412 vehicle, including a new unique 2-stage, 2-speed PTU for Jeep “Trail Rated” vehicles, front & rear propshafts, center bearing, front & rear halfshafts, Electronic Controlled Clutch (ECC), and rear differential.
Chrysler named me in submitted patent on the “2-speed PTU design” still waiting approval.
Responsible for packing a new pendulum style powertrain mount system with a rear torque strut.

Advanced Chassis and Powertrain department for Front Wheel Drive Unibody Vehicles
Responsible for packaging the entire AWD driveline of the production JS (Sebring) & JC (Voyager) vehicles, including a new unique PTU chosen from 5 suppliers, front & rear propshafts, center bearing, front & rear halfshafts, Electronic Controlled Clutch (ECC), and rear differential.
Responsible for calculating the Crush Space; ENAP, IIHS and EuroNCAP for all the various JS powertrains.
Worked on packaging feasibility for powertrain, driveline, electronic power steering (EPS) & halfshafts for the PV vehicle (PT Cruiser replacement) this was eventually cancelled.
LEAD ENGINEER – KNOWLEDGE BASED ENGINEERING – (KBE) 12/2001 to 6/2003
Key Role for DaimlerChrysler’s (DC) newly created department. Lead engineer in Vehicle Packaging /Powertrain Integration. Department created for need to bring vehicles to market quickly with less development.
Organized department from inception (Vehicle Packaging/Powertrain Integration) and interviewed and hired 5 engineers to report directly to me. I was the supervisor in charge of daily work activities, timecard, vacation, overtime, etc.
Successfully achieved 105% of goal in 2001 and 2002 calendar years
I was the Lead engineer on developing the Vehicle Synthesis Process and Vehicle Packaging and Powertrain Integration templates including engine roll template, frontal area template, powertrain packaging template, driveline template halfshaft analysis template.
I deployed working templates to AVE groups for integration to their process throughout the company.
Goal of department was to develop corporate templates using Catia V5 to capture ad document best practices, and then use these templates to help speed the design and development process to bring new vehicles to market faster.
Developed the Vehicle Synthesis process as high-level hub to bring all vehicle inputs/hard points to interact to every template developed in the Chrysler system, BICEP, Body, Interior, Chassis, electrical, and Powertrain.
Coordinated activities between different departments and (CoC) Center of Competency groups capturing best practices.
Invented corporate Engine Roll movements, still used in Stellantis today.
Developed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for all templates.

Design and development for the new Chrysler ’95 NS (minivan) steering column.
Worked on entire NS column assembly and designed new style cam activated bolt on shift module that saved $4 per column.
Design and detailed the entire shift mechanism components from concept to production release.
Used Catia kinematics to fine tune the shift detents.
Catia V4 and solid models to create a 3D and 2D design for release in the DaimlerChrysler VPM system.

Duties consisted of creating all the assembly and detail drawing for production release into the Chrysler release system.

Design and development of specialty CNC machine lines for glass grinding, drilling, washing, loading, and unloading, orienting and conveying of parts.
Duties revolved around machine design of specialty machinery.
Responsibilites consisted of drawing assembly and detail drawing by hand and AutoCAD including proposal drawings for salemen quoting entire glass lines, stack-up layouts, schematics of machine hard wiring and ladder logic PLC control, and also pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
Worked on the drawing board, on a Cad station, and interfaced with tool and die makers machining my actual parts and dealt with salesmen for pneumatic valves and bearing selection.
