In this course, students were educated on Materials selection and use of familiar material (metals, ceramics, polymers, electronic materials and composites) in electronics, structural and other engineering applications.

Students were educated about the Philosophy and practice of engineering selection of materials. Case studies in product liability and failure analysis. Students were guided to perform various material tests to study material properties, failure analysis and have a comprehensive understanding of material performance.
