Design, coding and Maintenance for IT helpdesk Ticketing system and Auto Email system.

Request Tracker is written in Perl and runs on the Apache and lighttpd web servers using mod_perl or FastCGI with data stored in either MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or SQLite.

The Request Tracker (IT helpdesk Ticketing system) is a production email tracking system where all the emails from different clients end up in one centralized place and the users’ needs a web browser to access it. Database server runs on server 1– which is a primary database server. Request tracker uses MySQL 5.0,30 my.cnf

(configuration for MySQL) is tuned for large file transfers. Secondary database server runs on server 2, which has same configuration as primary server. This application was developed in MOD-PERL and FASTCGI

The replication is an exact snapshot of the master to slave db. If the MySQL replication fails, a script sends an alert to email ids. Also, the server 1 starts beeping continuously till the replication is fixed.
