Served as a comprehensive real estate professional, collaborating with both buyers and sellers, and acquiring clients through advertising in local newspapers. Prepared and printed personal promotional media mailing to a defined ”farming area”. Copy for both The Homes Magazine and Homes and Land was a major undertaking bi-monthly. With membership in the local Chamber of Commerce, I was privy to information requests from around the country. Referrals from clients and contacts are an effective form of advertising. Prepared all required paperwork of the State of Tennessee assuring the client was protected from inaccurate actions, whether it be accurate property disclosures for a seller, an assurance seller would receive earnest money if buyer went into default. Buyers would be assured that their agent was representing their interests exclusively. I did find it difficult to represent both buyer and seller in the same transaction. You cannot wear two hats at the same time. Successful closings did not end at the closing table. Checking if buyers need help with utilities, insurance, etc. Sellers were congratulated on a successful closing, thank you gift presented. Satisfied clients may refer new clients and return. NOTE: Exceptional record keeping was key in maintaining accurate records for all clients. Emailed monthly newsletter to entire database.
