Led several teams as project leader for data migration during evaluation of systems, integration setup and planning, sandbox testing, employee training, and go-live management.

Travel Incorporated, 9400 Midlothian Tpk., Richmond. VA

Travel agent in family business. Assisted clients with travel plans, sold somutions to their requests, assisted with planning. Hand wrote tickets on stock in those days including both US and IATA tickets, cruise tickets. Made hotel reservations as part of upselling when not already part of a package. We had a strong mix of repeat customers. These were pleasure travel as well as businesses including US and international travel. Our largest international customers were from the international tobacco buying, selling, and manufacturing trade. I even delivered tickets in person in emergencies and accompanied client groups on occasion. We also created and sold US bus tours.

1974-1983 Coca-Cola USA

Fountain Sales Department beginning as summer intern, followed by sales technician, sales manager, and account executive.

1983-2008 Pepcom Industries and Pepsi Bottling Ventures

General management of Fountain Sales including, production, sales, accounting, reporting, training. Emphasis on coaching management style and active listening skills. Grew from 3 employees at startup to 28 when i was promoted to new responsibilities. Manager for entire fountain and vending operation with over 100 employees. Responsible for sales, repair services, call centers, related training and reporting, IT solutions, management, and P&L. Rsponsible for capital and expense related budgets totaling over $7M annually. Saved over $480K on one purchase order by changing the supplier while receiving better quality product and service. Grew total sales by $24M annually over 25 years. Met or exceeded P&L objectives each year. Responsibilities covered 7 states.

2008-2009 Tritek Sales

Entered new business with one of my suppliers providing electronic locks to vending and healthcare industries. Left prematurely due to failing health issues and death of business partner.

Active partner with my wife in consulting business with primary focus on training in healthcare industry.

The University Of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Bachelor of Arts in history and English.

VCU Coursework toward masters in business administration begun during employment in Richmond VA. Transferred during first year and unable to complete coursework for MBA remotely in those days.
