Objective:

1.Accounting and Maintenance
Maintained the cash balance in the House Bank and Petty Cash accounts by performing weekly reconciliations and request for replenishment when needed.
Made sure that all invoices and requests for payments were processed in SAP on time.
Thoroughly reviewed and made sure that appropriate approval, charge code, and other supporting documents were provided before processing payments.
Ensured that the unused travel advances were accounted for and deposited in the bank on time and made sure that the ‘visiting missions’ reports were reviewed and recorded/charged back in SAP on monthly basis.
Processing of hazard allowances and salaries to staff every month.
Reviewing all control reports in SAP regularly, e.g. "Open Items Aging Report", "Transit Open Items Report", “Country Office Accounts Monitoring Report" & GRIR reports in order to be within the policy framework and to improve CO Scorecard.
Ensured accuracy and pay attention to the above-mentioned functions in order to meet the unit’s need for PRECISE, TIMELY processing & REPORTING back
2.Responsible for Financial Accounting, fiduciary controls and reporting
Assist in filing and retrieval of documents, according to the World Bank Document Management guidelines. Scanning all accounting documents and keeping proper record for quick retrieval as required by ACTA. Assist in preparing staff salaries, bank reconciliation as well as bank transfer letters for all payments.
Consult with clients both inside and outside the Bank, e.g. staff, consultants, vendors, etc., to effect timely payments and resolve accounting related issues.
Provided the required assistance to the resource management officer in Kabul Office in reviewing all control reports in SAP regularly, e.g. "Open Items Aging Report", "Transit Open Items Report", “Country Office Accounts Monitoring Report" & GRIR reports in order to be within the policy framework and to improve CO Scorecard, and made sure to take appropriate action on the areas which can possibly affect the overall control and the country office Score Card.
3.Communication & Liaison:
Obtained staff satisfactions by meeting their requirement, answering their questions and concerns and solving their issues/problems on time Communicated internally with control units such as Imprest Service Desk, Payroll Service Desk and other quality assurance units of Chennai on policy matters and resolved any query from their side or provided documents for audit purposes within the same day.
Provided references to Bank financial and administrative policies and procedures to the bank staff
Improved the channel of communication between the vendors and RM unit by providing the payment confirmations to service receivers every Thursday and resolved any other query that have arisen
Opening payroll account for new staff on time.
Helping STT/STC staff to entire their salary in ST request system.
Communicating and liaising internally with all levels of staff in the country office and providing advice and technical support on Bank's financial and
administrative policies and procedures.
Knowledge of bank and banking system.
Knowledge of computer applications, such as keyboarding/word processing, knowledge of standard office equipment (e.g. computers, photocopy, scanner, etc).
