Plasma Production Senior Supervisor (1997 - 2003)

Supervisor of a specific process in the plasma production area (fractionation and purification). Supervises technicians to complete on schedule while ensuring use of approved batch records and compliance with cGMP.

Selected Accomplishments:

Assigned as “Point Person” of various pieces of equipment such as the CARR Centrifuge Separation System, the Matrix Automated Bottle Cutter, and the Cryogenic Plasma Separation System.

Responsible for development of training SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for newly hired Plasma Personnel.

Developed temperature mapping studies with “Smart Gaskets” and thermocouples on the Carr Centrifuges and all associated transfer lines to maximize and maintain required process temperatures.

Assisted in re-modification of various systems on the fermentors (150 liter, 1500 liter) which increased out-put and stability of utilities.

Selected Accomplishments:

Assisted with temperature mapping validation protocols on all production tanks, centrifuges, autoclaves, and decontamination tanks. Assisted with placement and removal of BI’s and AI’s along with reading and processing of “ KAYE” Printouts.

I also assisted Validation Personnel with the development of a Temperature Mapping Tree’s for placement of BI’s.

Increased chilled water output by removal of automatic temperature control micro-switches and removal of unnecessary piping which resulted in more efficient temperature control.

Installed a manual valve control system which enabled the operator to override and control valves in the event of power failure or specific valve failures.
