This division specializes in short-to-medium run catalogs and publications, print-on-demand, direct mail, and promotional collateral. The printing industry is adapting to ever-evolving e- communications and to a changing / shrinking print-communications marketplace. Team Leader / Lead Press Operator
• Provide leadership, training, and development of five crewmembers working on a multi-unit, double-web, heat-set, offset printing press producing consumer publications and catalogs.
• Monitor the flow of materials, equipment set-ups, job progress, quality, and scheduling. Committed to safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee the preparation of the press for operation by verifying proper documentation and web-threading procedures and inspecting, adjusting, or replacing slitter knives. Set register, mount plates, maintain water supply center, and adjust amounts for proper ink solution.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Interface with customers on analysis of samples and “Color OKs” and provide on-press technical advice to customers and plant personnel.
