Operation Desert Storm Veteran - Trained in damage control including ship board fire fighting, repairing damage to the ship and ship equipment. Certified in CPR and Advanced First Aid training. Participated in the ship’s self-defense force and trained in weapons handling. Displayed leadership skills by training other Navy servicemen in helicopter landing. Navy Sailor of the Month and veteran of the Gulf War. Recipient of National Defense Award for service.
