My husband, working in the Air Force, caused us to move so my nursing experience has been varied. It included home health care, forensic case management, lung care in-patient care with a cancer focus, certification in cancer nursing and hospice training. Finally settling into Labor and Delivery, postpartum and newborn nursery.
My lactation certificate through the IBCLC included 2500 hours of teaching breast feeding, working with lactation in the postpartum setting and counseling with supervision of lactating mothers. This was obtained in 2003 with an active client base until 2013
