Account Management Director, Nov 2013 – May 2016

As the Account Management Director I was responsible in working with a team of professionals who provided customer service for all Employer Groups who were contracted with Family Health Hawaii. In my position I oversaw the Account Management Department who provided complete set up of new Employer Groups from 50 to 1,000+ employees. Setting up and conducting implementation meetings, on-line and paper enrollment of all members into the medical plan. Information provided on all benefits to contracted Employer Groups for a clear understanding of benefits received. Review of the Provider Network and information on accessing physicians for services. Working with Upper Management of the Employer Groups (CEO, CFO, Human Resources Director) to insure smooth transition to working the Family Health Insurance Plan. I also worked closely with the vendors who provided Pharmacy Benefits, Vision Benefits and Dental Benefits. Account Management also handled all escalated customer service issues which required immediate attention for a quick resolution. I also oversaw the Billing Department who sent out the monthly premium invoices to each Employer account. Any issues with Billing that were escalated would be referred to me for resolution. Other areas of responsibility in this position were running a quarterly reporting package for all large clients with 150 or more employees and set up a quarterly review meeting with each group as well as working with a third party administrator of COBRA benefits for Family Health Members. As the Account Management Director I was responsible for attending all company meetings and was responsible for writing Policies and Procedures for Family Health Hawaii. Our top priority was always superb customer service for all contracted employer groups and members of Family Health Hawaii.

Provider Relations Manager, Apr 2010 – Oct 2013

In this position I started as a Provider Relations Manager with responsibility for developing and sustaining relations with key providers in the community as well as building strong relationships with all providers. Our Department was responsible for building and maintaining a provider network of over 4.200 providers throughout the State of Hawaii to service our Health Plan Members. This includes overseeing the credentialing and contracting with all providers who are participating in our network. We also work with our National Networks (MultiPlan) as needed for services for our Health Plan Members. As the Manager for a new web based Provider Portal we successfully implemented this program. The Provider Portal gives our providers access to information regarding claims, eligibility, prior authorizations along with many other features to assist in their daily activities and save them time by viewing information on-line. The last two years of my position with MultiPlan, my primary function was to focus on contracting with Providers throughout the United States to be a part of the MultiPlan Network. I received extensive training on contracting through my various training sessions at the MultiPlan Corporate Office. The secondary responsibility was to work with the HMN Network here in Hawaii.

I was an Account Manager for the Summerlin Commercial Medical Insurance Account. I personally oversaw large accounts with 75 or more members. My responsibility as an Account Manager was to service and retain these groups as Summerlin Clients. I also worked closely with the company executives (i.e. President, HR Director, CFO, etc.) to ensure everything ran smoothly with our Summerlin Accounts.
