· Develop a customized PLC and an HMI program for food processing thermal machinery based on electrical wiring diagram to ensure NFPA and NEC code compliance.
· Performed I/O checks, test VFD variable frequency drive, validate communications via Ethernet IP to ensure all devices are communicating with each other.
· Perform a factory acceptance test (FAT) to ensure the proper working of the machine from a programming stand point while keeping an attention to detail for any irregularity in the operations which if present address them to relevant person if it falls out of the program scope.
· Attend meetings with vendors for any new hardware or software that can optimize overall process or equipment.
· Program any controls equipment which was sold as parts sales such as sensors or HMI screens, test them before shipping them out.
· Field any customer calls for service related problems to help them trouble shoot. Field or Site Travel
· Travel to customer site for commissioning of the machine. Perform I/O checks on the field devices to ensure proper working, calibrate sensors and test run the drives to check for any current or voltage problem while following OSHA and GMP protocols to ensure hazard and food safety.
· Ensure fail check test to make sure that the machine stops essential functioning whenever an emergency stop gets triggered or any other safety related problems rise to ensure that the equipment is NFPA compliant.
· Work with other contractors for machines handshake and integration and delivered operator training to ensure efficient troubleshooting and maintenance.
· Collaborated with customer IT teams to establish secure remote access for ongoing monitoring and support in the future. Estimator March 2022 – September 2022
· Partnered with sales team to review RFQs to ascertain the specifications of the food processing equipment to be proposed to the customer.
· Coordinated with cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, field service) to determine parts and labor estimates and formulate that into excel to generate a quote for approval.
· Work on proposals for approved quotes to present to the sales representative.
· Field any questions from the sales team pertaining to the work hours or materials and based on feedback make appropriate changes to the quote to avoid any under estimating while keeping the quote competitive.
