Summary
I am a mid-level researcher, epidemiologist, and biostatistician currently living in Seattle, Washington, USA. I have extensive experience in the African health system and academia. I have supported both undergraduate and postgraduate students, community service provision, and public health leadership at local and national health offices. My research expertise focuses on major noncommunicable diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, stroke, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension, as well as infectious diseases, maternal and child health issues, and various roles in public health emergency management. I have extensive experience, more than 10 years in managing and performing quantitative and qualitative research projects, including proposal writing, team management, participant recruitment, data collection, synthesis, analysis, and dissemination through official reports, policy briefs, conferences, and peer-reviewed publications. In my quantitative research endeavors, I have employed a variety of designs, including cross-sectional, case-control, cohort, and two-arm parallel randomized controlled trials. Additionally, I have utilized a range of analytical techniques such as descriptive analysis, one-way, two-way, and repeated measures of ANOVA, advanced linear regression, advanced logistic regression models, the Cox proportional hazards regression model, non-parametric survival analysis models, meta-analysis, and other non- parametric tests. I have executed these methodologies using software platforms such as SAS, STATA, and R. During my qualitative research endeavors, I engage in semi-structured, in-depth interviews, employing both thematic framework analysis and content analysis methods for subsequent analysis.
