Safety Manager at Zone 4
Reference by: Colton Norton ● Project Manager
Date employed: Jan 2015 - Mar 2024
Position: Project Manager
Relationship: Peer
Duration: 5-10 years
Mobile: 417-***-****
Job Duties & Technologies:
They worked together the whole time at Zone 4 as well as partnering since Welspun (where they first met), worked together at Beck & Pillitzer too. Colton has handled projects all over the world and Kenny is one of the best safety people he's worked with. They worked directly on Walmart distribution center- Dollar General Project- and New Cold warehouse to name a few projects.
Project Description:
One project had a fatality and then Kenny came in and really helped
Work Load: Above Average
He's someone that learns what works and is appropriate for a variety of settings. Not someone who takes the approach of "it worked well once before, must mean it works for everything". Understands the intricacies and nuances for different settings/ issues.
Quality of Work: Excellent
Very good at what he does- sometimes a little bit of a perfectionist, but tries not to let it take away from the task at hand. Very occasionally he might spend a little too much time trying to get something perfect, but from a safety lens would rather have that than someone who doesn't care.
Performance & Ability: Excellent
Kenny is very knowledgeable- while Colton was traveling to different project, Kenny would fill in for him in meetings. He's someone who will do whatever he can to get the job done.
Initiative: Excellent
Really cares- will give everything he can to solve the matter at hand. Does very well at staying busy with his work and understanding other areas he might help out with as needed.
Cooperation/Communication: Excellent
Has always worked well with Kenny and knows that others do as well- no matter what the level. From a safety perspective not someone to get in your face yelling/ screaming. Very calm, cool, and collected in how he handles any issues and ensuring they won't happen again.
Attendance/Reliability: Excellent
Never any issues- typically one of the first one. While in Indiana had terrible storms that came through where many said they couldn't be at the site, yet Kenny was still there early as usual.
Strengths:
Studies and learns wherever he can which is really valuable as a safety person. Will take the initiative to learn and better himself as much as possible.
Additional Information & Comments:
Thinks he will do very well with the solar project despite not having direct experience. Colton said it wouldn't shock him, if we did move forward with Kenny for this, to find out he went out of his way to try and learn as much as he can from researching, reading, networking, etc about the solar space so he can be as useful as possible.

Safety Manager at Merit Electrical
Reference by: Anthony Prudhomme ● Superintendent
Date employed: Mar 2024 - Apr 2024
Position: Superintendent
Relationship: Peer
Duration: 1-3 years
Mobile: 984-***-****
Job Duties & Technologies:
Anthony and Kenny worked together on the Fuji Film project in NC- $3.6 billion dollar project overall. Anthony said it was great working with Kenny- he was always out making sure people had their PPE, water, looking over JSAs to ensure everything was correct. They worked on the project together for 2 months, project slimmed down and then Kenny moved on from there.
Project Description:
The project was for 3 different companies to all be in the same building- they started their work after the concrete was poured. Worked on getting everything up and then equipment in as it progressed.
Work Load: Exceeds Expectations
The work load was pretty well split between the safety managers that were on-site, however, it seemed like Kenny normally had a little bit more/ was busier than the other safety folks.
Quality of Work:
Overall great quality of work- didn't work together every single day, but 3+ times a week- always took pride in what he did and was very knowledgeable about a wide variety in the safety field. Having Kenny around available made his job much easier.
Performance & Ability: Excellent
Any safety questions he would have, Kenny would have an answer for him. He does well with looking at the full scope of the issue and finding the best solution whatever it might be.
Initiative: Excellent
Would be on task- then knew when it was time to go to the next. He would assist as needed-making sure everyone was safe, barricades were good, overall everything was good to go for the site. He would even help pull wire if needed- really a well-rounded team player.
Cooperation/Communication: Excellent
Always great with his communication- worked very crossfunctionally at the site. They worked together almost daily while he was there and he never had or heard of any issues.
Attendance/Reliability: Excellent
Never any issues- didn't miss a single day.
