As stonemason & skilled craftsmen I cut, shape, and lay stones to create commercial and artistic stone structures. Using a range of specialized tools, they are tasked with building or repairing structures such as walls, archways, piers, monuments, or tombstones.In this role, I will be required to read and interpret blueprints, collaborate with construction crews and crane operators, cut or shape stones, and fix stones according to the structural plans. I may also be required to dig trenches, operate heavy machinery, or replace missing and broken stones. Responsibilities:
1. Reading and interpreting structural blueprints. 2. Determining the materials and equipment needed for the project. 3. Mixing grout and cement.
4. Cutting and shaping stones to desired dimensions. 5. Laying stones according to construction plans or project specifications. 6. Operating cranes, hoists, or heavy machinery to move stones. 7. Digging trenches using a pick and shovel.
8. Smoothing and polishing stones and concrete.
